Solonar was an Elven hero-deity who rose to prominence during the Age of Dragons. In his early life, he was exarch the gold dragon Rieddradian the Kind. He was freed of his bond to the Xorvental Dragon when Rieddradian retired from the great game and awarded the exceptionally skilled elf with his most prized possession, the Spark of Gratitude. Solonar became one with the ancient dragon's spirit and was known from that day on as Lord of Plenty. As time went on, he became one of the most commonly worshiped entities in the third age. He was ancient, even by elven standards, living in the Silver and Deep Reach for thousands of years.

During the Second Moon War Solonar, along with the other elflords banded together to fight the Lady of Tears, also known as Valotha the Venomous. During the fight, Solonar was killed by Valotha and his spark was recovered by the Order of the Bow. His spark would later be given to Aust Silverfrond who would vow revenge on the Drow.
