The Farwest is a semi-mythical continent to the West of Thessan. It was home to the most powerful human civilization in history, with ties to the ancient Kingdom of Man and the Thessan region.

A once mighty nation, the continent of Farwest was infiltrated by Vashar who sought to use their arcane might to kill the Empyrean Titans. Vashar and their vile emperor Jilin corrupted much of the continent and were only stopped by the Coalition of Thundering Clouds, an alliance between Bahamut and the Storm Giant chieftain Boleros Béimnech. The conflict resulted in the destruction of the Farwest's most powerful cities and the abandonment of the region.

The humans of Thessan claim to be the descendants of the Farwesti and many of them claim ultimate authority over artifacts from the Farwest, believing it to be the birthright. Wealthy nobles in the Thessan Federation occasionally send scouts and rangers into the ruins of Farwest cities to acquire trinkets and artifacts which are considered grand status symbols. Many believe the Farwest to be little more than a myth, but the rare artifact that can be directly linked to the mythical continent raise questions of the extent of mankind's height of power and the efficacy of such complete dependence on arcane magic.

Farwest Ruins[]

FarwestRuin

Much of the Farwest is unexplored and the names of its ruined cities are long forgotten. Only aberrations and formorians call the ruins home. Many brave adventurers are lured into the ruins by tales of long forgotten magics and treasures, most are never heard from again.

The Writhing Coast[]

The Writing coast is a forgotten shore, due east of Danasia. It gets its name from the aberrant creatures that call this region their home. The coast teems with gibbering mouthers and creatures far worse are said to inhabit the inland regions. It is unknown if the Writing Coast is part of the Farwest, but legend suggests that the two land masses are one. Few would be foolish enough to attempt to map the region and sailors do not dare sail around the continent.
